Episode 1: Who are we, and why did we start a podcast on ADHD?
Welcome to our first LD ADHD episode.
This podcast is not aimed to coach you or tell you how to overcome your ADHD struggles. We’re not going to tell you to buy planners, or a whiteboard, or take specific supplements. This podcast is more going to be about conversations about what it’s like to have ADHD, how it felt to get diagnosed, and hopefully contribute to raising awareness in a time where it’s suddenly a very hot topic.
We are James and Jules, a married couple who’ve been together 25 years (OMG!). In 2022, we were both diagnosed with ADHD at 50 and 46 years old.
We’ve seen a lot of misinformation out there lately about ADHD, which makes us think there’s still a LOT of work to do to change people’s perceptions and lift the stigma and shame around it.
So we decided to start a podcast.
Some episodes will be just us.
Some episodes will be interviews with other late-diagnosed ADHDers..
Either way - we will try and keep the episodes nice and short (ahem… ADHD friendly).
P.S. We swear a lot - so maybe pop your headphones in around kids.
